mills of Sijsele
The village mill stands in the center of Sijsele, near the Molenstraat (where else?) and has been converted to a house. The Akkermolen stands in a beautiful, green surrounding, midst the fields. The landscape alone, is worth a detour.

Sijsele
still can boast of with 2 mills: the village mill in the center of Sijsele and
the Akkermolen besides the Antwerpse Heirweg, in the direction of Donk.
Grinding they don't do anymore, because both have been stripped of their wings
(the Akkermolen also has been undone of his cap), and now remain in the
landscape as a memory of what was once a flourishing agricultural activity.
